Mathematics (Math) is one of the fundamental school subjects, alongside Science, English, and Social Studies (History and Geography).

Although more advanced levels of math is mostly only used in math-based fields in the real world in terms of usefulness beyond school, it is also significant in most types of sciences, especially physics, which heavily relies on advanced math such as calculus. Very fundamental and primary levels of math include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, usually first learnt in elementary school; more advanced ones being things like exponents, graphs, logarithmics, and square roots, with subjects like algebra, geometry, and calculus, are typically learnt throughout middle school, high school, and college or university (with more expanded learning).
